LEGISREPORTS NG- Senator Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman representing Kogi Central in the Senate has Friday ditched President Goodluck Jonathan for APC’s General Muhammadu Buhari.
The Senator who recently defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) calls on Nigerians to vote for Buhari in the saturday’s polls.
His support for Buhari was contained in a statement by his spokesman, Michael Jegede, who said that the Kogi Central Senator has dumped president Goodluck Jonathan and formally declared total support for Buhari in the presidential poll.
The statement by Jegede quoted Abatemi to have said this on a live programme of Tao FM, an Ebiraland-based radio station, that Buhari “is the best candidate for the Presidency” at the moment.
The senator also urged Ebira people to re-elect him on the PPA’s platform and vote Buhari as president
“I’m using this medium to call on my beloved people of Ebiraland to give me their votes in the senatorial election to reelect me for a second term on the platform of Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA). For the presidential election, vote for Buhari. I’ll vote for him because he is the best candidate for the presidency at this point in time. Buhari represents the change that Nigerians are asking for”, he said.
The senator called on Nigerians to vote peacefully and conduct themselves properly during. And after the election and shun violence.
