POLITICS: G.U. Ake-led PDP says it will resist attempt to suspend pro-Amaechi Lawmakers.

LEGISREPORTS NG – The G.U. Led PDP has said it will resist any move to suspend the Federal Lawmakers loyal to Governor  Amaechi by the Felix Obua Led PDP.

The Publicity Secretary of G.U. Ake led PDP George Ukwuoma said the move by the PDP to suspend the 3 National Assembly members is another ploy to destabilise the level of peace achieved so far in the political scene in Rivers State.

”we in the G.U. Ake-led PDP in Rivers State is highly proud and well pleased with the actions of Senator Magnus Abe and our respected members in the House of Representatives especially the caucus leader Hon. Andrew Uchendu and our performing representative Dakuku Peterside” he said.

Also reacting to the threat of the PDP in the State, a pan Rivers Leadership Advancement Foundation RIVLEAF says the threat by the PDP to suspend 3 National Assembly members  from the Party should not be taken seriously.

The President of RIVLEAF Alex Weli said the PDP in Rivers State as presently constituted is interested in a crisis situation in the political arena ”to me I think this is a case of frustration on the part of people who really want to pull Rivers State down , its becoming clear those who actually do not wish Rivers State well , it is becoming clear because at this time that there is relative peace in this State some people are not happy because it is not helping their selfish cause and that is about how to hijack the sole of the party, I mean of the State in 2015”.

Meanwhile the PDP Omuma LGA has also joined in criticising the statement credited to the Felix Obua led PDP which accused the Senator representing Rivers South East Magnus Abe, their representative Andrew Uchendu and Dakuku Peterside of anti Party activities.

It would be recalled that the Felix Obuah led PDP has threatened to discipline the 3 National Lawmakers and other members engaged in any anti Party activities.
