LEGISREPORTS NG- The Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday released results for State Assembly elections on Niger State.
The results released in Shiroro, Chanchaga, Bida 1 and Bida 2 show that the APC cleared all the seats.
The returning officer Shiroro, Dr. Baba Ndaliman, declared Alhaji Ahmed Bawa of the APC as winner having scored 26,207 votes. The PDP candidate Mr. Andrew Doma came second with 8,975 votes while Alhaji Baba Wakili of APGA came third with 34 votes.
The returning officer of Chanchaga, Prof. Hussaini Maku, declared that the APC candidate Alhaji Ahmed Marafa won with 44,895 votes. PDP candidate Hajiya Jummai Jafaru got 13,459 votes while APGA candidate got 275 votes.
The APC also won the seat in Bida 1 Constituency with 17, 943 votes while the PDP scored 4,599 according to results announced by Prof. Elizabeth Onwuka, the INEC returning officer.
In Bida 2, the APC also succeeded in winning the Constituency with 16,976 votes as against PDP with 5,231 votes.
