REPS NEWS: Lawmaker Opens Up on His Gubernatorial Ambition

LEGISREPORTS NG –The House of Representatives Deputy Minority Leader and representative of Takai/Sumaila Federal Constituency Kawu Sumaila, has said his ambition to become governor of Kano State is to make life easy for the state residents.

Sumaila, who is aspiring to become the next Kano State governor noted that the merger talks among opposition parties, such as the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) to form the All Progressives Congress (APC), was to rescue Nigeria from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) misrule which can plunge the nation into chaos.

According to the Lawmaker, the people of Kano state have endured untold man-made hardship and his major concern was to better the condition of the people.

The lawmaker said every resident has a role to play in the political change the state needs to improve its economic and political development.

“We must work very hard to wrest power from the incumbent administration and halt the people’s hardship,” the lawmaker said.

Sumaila said that all he was waiting for to make his next move is the conclusion of the merger talks among the opposition parties while hoping the new party would hold its convention this month.

The ANPP lawmaker promised the APC would abide by its constitution, when registered.
