POLITICS: Gov Okorocha replies APGA, says his suspension is baseless, purported and irrelevant
LEGISREPORTS NG – Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has replied the National Executive Council (NEC) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) over his suspension from the party, describing the action as “baseless, purported and irrelevant”. In a statement signed by Mr. Okorocha’s media aide and immediate past Commissioner for Information, Strategy, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Chinedu Offor, said the APGA leadership as presently constituted is allegedly tele-guided by the authorities of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which has made him necessary to join the newly found All Progressives Congress (APC).
The statement quoted Mr. Okorocha who is currently in the Atlanta Georgia, the United States, attending a Town Hall Meeting organized by Igbo indigenes resident there, urging Imo people to remain “calm and law abiding” despite the suspension order slammed on him.
