LEGISREPORTSNG – Lagos State House of Assembly, on Monday confirmed the appointment of Deile Helen as new Auditor-General of the State.
Mrs. Deile was screened and confirmed by the lawmakers following a letter sent to the House last week by Governor Babatunde Fashola.
Mrs. Deile said that she would work closely with the House Committee on Public Account (State) so as to improve on the audit system of the state.
She promised to ensure transparency and accountability in the day to day running of her office.
She told the lawmakers that the state governor had consented to the fact that there is need for more qualified auditors in the state.
Mrs. Deile is a graduate of Yaba College of Technology where she studied Accountancy in 1988 before proceeding to the University of Lagos, Akoka where she bagged Masters in Business Administration.
She is a member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
