IMO ASSEMBLY: Okorocha forwards nominees for sacked officials

LEGISREPORTS NG – The Imo State House of Assembly has received a list of two nominees to replace the embattled chairman of the state Civil Service Commission (CSC), Prince Cletus Nwaka, and Commissioner 1 in the commission, Chief Analyn Nwaneri.

Deputy Speaker of the assembly, Hon. Donatus Ozoemena, who received the list named the two persons nominated by Governor Rochas Okorocha as Prince Val Osuala (chairmanship nominee) and Chidi Oguoma (Commissioner 1 nominee).

Consequently, Hon. Ozoemena constituted a committee to screen the nominees, directing that they submit their report to the assembly’s leadership Tuesday next week.

The 27 – member assembly two days ago passed a motion sponsored by the Majority Leader of the assembly, Hon. Adaku Ihuoma, urging Gov. Okorocha to sack the duo of Nwaka and Nwaneri for alleged ineptitude and displaying attitudes at variance with the state administration’s philosophy.

Meanwhile, the state assembly has summoned the state Head of Service, Mrs. Nkechi Onumajulu, to answer questions on why some civil servants in the service due for promotions and those returning from academic studies were denied either reinstatement or promotion or on return placed appropriately in their proper grade level.
