CITIZEN: Youth ask Tambuwal, Ihedioha to show example by donating blood to bomb victims
LEGISREPORTS NG – In response to the separate press statements issued by the duo of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives in Abuja, condemning today’s bombing that led to several loss of lives, a youth, Mr. Azeze Oyedele tasked the leadership of the national assembly to lead by example by going to donate blood instead of issuing out press statements.
Oyedele in reply to LEGISREPORTS publication, asked Speaker Tambuwal and Deputy Speaker Ihedioha to go and donate blood to those in need.He also called on delegates to the National Conference to do the same.
As that was the only way to help victims who are in the hospital.In a related report, A Chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), Charles Jiduwah, shortly after donating blood in Abuja, called on leaders to step up effort in tackling the menace of blood sucking murderers.In a statement issued by his media office, Jiduwah called for concentrated efforts in arresting the ugly trend.
“A war has been declared on the Nigerian people by blood sucking demonic murderers whose only message is to instill fear on helpless Nigerians.These murderers must be stopped by every Nigerian. This is not a battle for the government alone. All hands must be on deck to stamp out terrorism from our land.” He said.
The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr. Andrew Pocock also joined those that donated blood for the victims of today’s bomb blast. The High Commissioner donated blood at the National Blood Transfusion Centre.
